Meet the Mission Youth Team
Katie Stephens, National Director
Katie began working full time for Mission Youth in August, 2006. After graduating with a BA in Catholic Studies from Loyola University - New Orleans, Katie spent a year volunteering with Mission Hope, a division of MissionYouth organized in response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Katie directed mission groups coming in from across the country.
"People ask me all the time where I am from. Even though I can't say I was born or raised here, New Orleans is my home! After Katrina, I couldn't have imagined doing anything else but giving back to the people of Louisiana during their time of need. My year with Mission Hope was the most challenging and fruitful experience of my life—the missions grew my faith, my muscles, and my heart!"
