What is MissionYouth?

Mission Youth is an apostolate of the Regnum Christi Movement that works with bishops and pastors to evangelize by engaging and sending out youth to witness Christ to others. By providing programs and training for youth as missionaries, Mission Youth seeks to re-energize Catholic life and foster greater parish involvement.

Today's young people are desperate for meaning! MissionYouth offers a place to go where teens can step out and make a difference in the world around them. Imagine the possibilities!

A youth group with a mission to:

  • Transmit Christ by sharing the Gospel message of love with all
  • Experience God's people by lending a hand, starting a conversation, and sharing hope through Christ
  • Put faith into action — growing in charity by living the corporal works of mercy

What MissionYouth offers...

MissionYouth provides dynamic and formative materials that foster a sense of prayer, purpose, and adventure.  Missions are offered locally, nationally and internationally.

Mission work has two goals:

  1. Humanitarian activities take youth away from their normal, sheltered environment. They introduce young people to the corporal works of mercy while fostering a deeper awareness of the physical needs of others.
  2. Evangelization activities challenge young people in a practical way to meet others, share, and build their faith and foster awareness of spiritual needs. Just as the first apostles were sent out to "preach the Good News," we are also called to be missionaries for the world.
